FAQ’s About Me
How did you get into the bikini/bodybuilding competition?
I had been going to the gym for many years before I competed for more for a release rather than to get into shape. I always had stress in my job or my life, so I would go to the gym straight after work and use it as my time to unwind.
After many years, I decided to do some personal training with Emma Gormley ifbb pro, and I was just in awe of her. I couldn’t believe her physique; to me, it was mind-blowing. After watching some bodybuilding shows, I was amazed at how people looked and over time, and after chatting with Emma and her Partner Dave Fox we decided I should try one. From here, my love for the sport grew.
How many have you done?
To date, I have done four competitions, and I have placed at all of those.
Are you prepping for another?
I am not competing within the next 12 months, as I want to focus solely on my business. However, if and when I decide to compete, I will transition over to the wellness category as I believe my physique could be better suited for this category. However, I would have a lot of work to do, so the journey will be one to watch as I will have to go through an improvement phase/stage to grow my lower half a lot more. I am currently training in the gym for this category.
What’s your favourite meal?
When on a diet, my favourite meal is protein oats; you can see a video of how I make my oats on my Instagram page. My favourite cheat meal is pizza.
What is your favourite treat?
I love sweets, especially squashes and strawberry pencils. Sound like a baby. I also really enjoy heated brownies with ice cream.

Probably the secret, however, I love listening to Tony Robbins
What keeps you motivated?
Firstly, I am not always motivated, and some days can be challenging for me, not just when prepping but in everyday life, but I know that this is normal, so I neer punish myself for not being motivated. I do believe habit and routine are key in life; having good structure and routine will also allow you to focus on yourself, by focusing on yourself that also enables you to care for others. I do have a competitive personality with a slight bit of OCD. I notice this more when prepping for a competition. If I have to do 15k steps a day, I will ensure this happens no matter what time of day they will be done. I don’t like to fail, so I give everything 100 per cent so that I can be satisfied no matter the outcome. So I think failure is what keeps me motivated, as strange as that sounds. I am very task-orientated, so I get great satisfaction when I complete a task.
